The puzzle solver: EPR spectroscopy shines light into complex chemical reactions


Brazilian researcher Dr. Vinicius Santana, our junior researcher, collaborated with biologists and chemists to explain a bioluminescence mechanism. The findings were published in a highly acclaimed study in the Nature Catalysis magazine.

Vinicius Santana has been awarded the JUNIOR STAR 2024 grant by the GAČR


Vinicius Santana, a Brazilian scientist exploring the area right between physics and chemistry has been part of Magneto-Optical and THz Spectroscopy group since 2018.

Now he is working as a postdoc in Santa Barbara


Antonín Sojka has been a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Santa Barbara for almost a year. Even though he never wanted to even get a Ph.D. At CEITEC BUT, he worked on electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) within our research group.
